Loot Crate May 2014 Unboxing and Review: Adventure Theme

After patiently (not really) waiting, May’s Loot Crate is finally here! This month’s Adventure theme brought us loot from some of the most well-loved adventure franchises out there. This crate also brought a few changes along with it. The Loot Crate Mini-Mag is no longer print like last month, but digital. Let’s dig into this crate and see what the Adventure theme has to offer:

This months crate, as you can see, brought us loot from Minecraft, Adventure Time, and the Legend of Zelda. We were thrilled to see lots of fun stickers and even temporary tattoos!

‘Adventure’ Collectible Loot Crate Badge

#5 in our awesome Loot Badge collection is the May ‘Adventure’ badge. Featuring Link’s Shield, a Minecraft Sword, and Finn’s Sword from Adventure Time, this Adventure Crest is down right amazing.

‘Describing the Legend’ Link Tee

Warm fuzzies, right in the Childhood! Am I right? The folks at Zen Monkey Studios have created this exclusive tee especially for looters and I for one am completely stoked. Descriptive words on a black field make up our hero in the coolest way possible. When everyone starts begging to know where you got it, be sure to tell them it’s a Loot Crate one of a kind!

Adventure Time Tins

Gunter! How cute is this little guy from Cartoon Network and Funko? This little Gunter figure came in his very own matching tin, as pictured. Each looters recieved a tin and figure at random. Loot Crate alternatives included: Jake, Finn, Beemo (BMO), Marceline, Lumpy Space Princess, and more!

Minecraft Hanger by Mojang & Just Toys Int.

This Minecraft Blind Pack came with one of 48 random Minecraft themed hangers. We got this cute little pink sheep (Which the internet tells us is rare? Can anyone confirm?). Other possible figures include creeper, the famous pickaxe, and more!

Curator Sticker Set by Maker & Polaris

This sticker set comes straight from the creative  minds that helped curate this month’s crate.  My personal favorite, LDShadowLady is up there in the closeup! Other curators include Polaris, Maker, and more!

Markiplier Temporary Tattoos by Maker & Markiplier

If you don’t know who Markiplier is, run, don’t walk, over to YouTube and check out his videos and his crazy pink mustache, affectionately known as “The Warfstache.” These adorable temporary tattoos are a great way to show your love for Markiplier and, of course, Warfstache!

Captain Sparklez Stickers by Maker & Captain Sparklez

Captain Sparklez is YouTube celeb Jordan Morgan who racked up 40 million views on his video ‘Take Back the Night’, a Minecraft music video. Stick these custom stickers wherever you like and TAKE BACK THE NIGHT!

‘Dangerous to Go Alone’ Bottle Opener by Loot Crate Labs

This is probably my favorite item in this month’s crate. Why? First, there is NOTHING like a good Legend of Zelda reference. Secondly, because I am old enough to remember this reference in it’s original forum, it also means that I am also old enough to put this bottle opener to good use on non-soda beverages. Win win!

The Friend Zone Soundtrack by Maker & Polaris

The Friend Zone is a hilarious web series that features a bunch of geeky friends who sit around and discuss geeky things. Their sound track is fantastic and now you can enjoy it, too. If you haven’t checked out their show, I strongly encourage you to do so!
