Galaxy Note 8.0

Samsung is ready to unveil a new tablet but this time it is going to be one from the Galaxy Note family. According to reports, Samsung is set to reveal the upcoming Galaxy Note 8.0 at MWC next month in Barcelona. The Korean giant has been tight lipped regarding the details of the device. There are no confirmed details about the pricing and specs of the tablet but according to a recent listing at Germany’s Staples Direct website, the Galaxy Note 8.0 will priced at a staggering €391, that is nearly $520. So, the Galaxy Note 8.0 will be fairly expensive when it hits the market.

Galaxy Note 8 could be more expensive than the iPad

This price tag puts it a couple hundred bucks above the cheapest iPad mini available today, that costs around $329. It’s almost same as the 64GB iPad Wi-Fi only model and much more than expensive than any Nexus 7 available in the market. We assume that this price tag is just a placeholder, that retailers sometimes put in until the original price comes out. If this price tag is anywhere near real then we don’t see Samsung making many sales with the likes of Nexus 7 available at just $299.

Don’t get all Riled Up, it’s just a rumor

With all that said, you should keep in mind that the Galaxy Note 8.0 is just a rumored device and hasn’t been officially confirmed yet. So, getting all miffed up over this price would be a little crazy at this point. Samsung is rumored to debut the Galaxy Note 8.0 at MWC 2013, which is scheduled to be held in Barcelona next month. Just a couple more days and we’ll know for sure the actual price of the device, and the specs as well.
