Chris Tucker Confirms ‘Rush Hour 4’ is Finally Happening

When asked on ESPN podcast The Plug about the possibility of Rush Hour 4, Chris Tucker’s response elicited a lot of enthusiasm from the hosts.

“Yes, we’re working on it now. It’s definite. It’s happening.”

In spite of the terrible reviews that the Rush Hour series has consistently received, America is always looking for more. A fourth installment of the series was teased on The Cruz Show back in October 2017 by Rush Hour co-star, Jackie Chan. According to Chan, a green light from Tucker was all that was needed to get the ball rolling. Over ten years since Rush Hour 3, it’s finally happening.

Perhaps fans can take solace in the delay knowing that both Tucker and Chan said in their interviews that it was never about money. The decade between films was used to find the perfect script for the comeback of Inspectors Lee and Carter.

“This is going to be the one,” Tucker said. “The rush of all rushes.” The Rush Hour stars will be playing much older versions of their original characters, but it sounds like they haven’t lost any of their energy. Rush Hour 4 is looking promising.
