Calm Down: Fallout 4 Is Real

Yep, you read it right. After a massive hoax left fans rioting and one hoaxer getting a ton of death threats, it turns out the next iteration of Fall Out is real after all…and it’s set in Boston.

Fallout 4: Post- Hoax Fans Get What They Want

The folks over at Kotaku were tipped off yesterday by a fan of theirs that Fallout 4 is, in fact, real and is set in Boston. How do they know? The fan reportedly send in a casting call script that included scripts, character descriptions, and other details about the next Fallout, and although the word Fallout does not appear in these scripts, there are several references to Fallout‘s setting and locations. (The casting director for this project also worked on other Bethesda games, like Dishonored and Skyrim.)

Pretty intense! Let’s hope, for the sake of Fallout 4 fan’s sanity, that this tip will somehow heal the wound of the hoax and give us all something to look forward to!
