Wildstar’s Last Two Character Races Unveiled

San Diego Comic Con certainly brought the heat this year with tons upon tons of excitement and entertainment. I believe what made me the most excited though, was the announcement of the final two playable races in the upcoming MMORPG Wildstar. Yes, Wildstar! You know, that super exciting game on the way with capabilities to reshape the genre as we know it? Yeah, that game! Carbine Studios has been keeping the final two races (one for the Dominion and one for the Exiles) a secret since the game started to hit the mainstream in terms of promotion. But finally, FINALLY, the lid has finally been lifted and we’re able to see what we’ve been waiting for ALL OUR LIVES!

Evil hamsters.

 Wildstar’s Final Two Characters REVEALED!

Yep, that’s right! That’s what the Dominion race is! EVIL. HAMSTERS. DANGIT. And no, I’m not saying that in some sort of sarcastic-this-a-terrible-race kind of way. Oh no. These little guys are total badasses. The Chua! Without getting too much into the lore of Wildstar, the Chua are members of the Dominion after showing off some masterful knowledge of science and deadly machinery. These little guys appear to be a little bit on the insanity side, so they look like they’ll be standing out quite a lot among the other members of the Dominion. I don’t know how well the Mechari are going to cooperate. But man am I excited to see the Chua team up with the Draken. Do you smell that? It’s the scent of complete and utter chaos.

Roll up, roll up! It’s evil hamsters, evil hamsters EVERYWHERE!

Following the new addition to the Dominion, we were introduced to the Exile’s new playable race: the Mordesh. Fans have speculated that the Exiles would be welcoming some sort of undead race into its ranks ever since the “Meet the Exiles” flick showed off a coffin with some poisonous looking gas surrounding it. It just reeked of undead. There was also an image of a zombie looking hand giving a thumbs up on an exile poster as well, so it’s not much of a surprise (the Chua weren’t really either thanks to game play footage). But these aren’t normal undead. NOPE. THEY’RE SPACE ZOMBIES. And they’re extremely cool. These guys were in line with the Dominion until they were supplied with a drug that accidentally turned them into cyberpunk undead creatures. I don’t know if I’d be complaining about that. They had no choice but to ally with the Exiles to survive the Dominion’s quarantine.

Carbine Studios supplied fans with a neat clip of the two new races in all there awesome glory.

I’m pretty pumped to roll a Mordesh. They’re so cool. AH. I can’t get over it. Wildstar just keeps getting better and better every time more and more news keeps getting announced. And this game is still set for a 2013 release, as far as I’m aware. It’s so close, I can almost taste it. Now we wait for a confirmation on the unnanounced classes! There’s been tons upon tons of fan speculation surrounding it, with many coming to a consensus around some sort of Engineer-type class who will use big guns and a Mystic or a Medic.

Whatever it is that Carbine Studios has in store for us I’m certain its great. I can confidently say that every single playable race in Wildstar has something cool about it. I can’t think of any other MMORPG out there that I can say the same about.
