Geek Fuel is a subscription company that sends you a Monthly Mystery Box filled with everything you need to feed your geeky lifestyle. Each box contains an exclusive t-shirt, collectibles, and toys plus a downloadable Steam game. You can get the box reviewed in this article until the end of the month for $24.90 (including shipping). You can also choose a 3, 6, or 12 month subscription to get your boxes at discounted rates. Not too shabby when you consider that each box is valued at $50, minimum! On top of that, you can use our link to Geek Fuel’s website and get $3 dollars off your plan!
Finding a package from Geek Fuel on my doorstep has definitely become a bright spot in my month. Not knowing the contents of the package makes it all the more fun, but I have certainly come to expect it will be amazing. You can check out my thoughts in this review and see if you agree!
Every box includes a handy card that details the items that are included.
An issue of Geek Fuel Magazine is included, as well. Starring on the front cover for April: It’s-a Mario!
The magazine includes information on various games, shows, movies, and merchandise that’s sure to satisfy any brand of geek. This month, you can check out an awesome article highlighting all the games from the best racing franchise ever (my opinion, anyway). Mario Kart 8 Deluxe comes out later this month!
The exclusive t-shirt this month features South Park: The Fractured but Whole and shows off the TV show’s most beloved characters as their superhero personas in the upcoming game. Cross your fingers for no more delays, and maybe you’ll be playing it at the end of the year. (And you could be wearing this nifty shirt as you do.)
Geek Fuel seems to recognize my desire to incorporate The Legend of Zelda into as many aspects of my life as possible. This month they have provided an exclusive floor mat portraying a hidden staircase from the game.
If you choose to use it as a bathmat, you can make it seem like you’re uncovering a hidden passage in the Legend of Zelda each time you open your shower curtain. I’m trying to figure out how much I value my current bathmat because this is awesome.
Every mystery box has pin that features characters in the shape of Geek Fuel’s mascot. You can get one of the four Ninja Turtles with this month’s edition! I got Leo. The packaging for these pins is always spectacular and, if you have the self-discipline, would make for some really cool collectibles unopened. (I don’t have that discipline.)
The back of the packaging gives information on each of the individual turtles. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles dominated in my childhood cartoon watching habits, but all of this information is news to me. You can also get one of the 500 Shredder pins (as if, I’m glad I got a turtle).
Another collectible is included in this box and features the fast-talking antihero, Deadpool. There are nine options. I got Deadpool 4, and I’m not entirely certain what he’s doing. I’m torn between enjoying a snack or holding a grenade. Nothing would surprise me with this guy, and I think he’s pretty cool looking regardless.
The final item this month is the Geek Fuel exclusive Steam game, The Dwarf Run. This is an adventure game that includes both RPG and point-and-click elements. I get a slight Final Fantasy feel from it, especially from the wide range of places your characters explore including the underworld, a wilderness, and outer space.
This month’s box did not disappoint! The packaging is top-notch, the value is unbeatable, and the variety of merchandise is perfect for any geek. If you like the looks of the items in this review, hurry and get Geek Fuel’s Mystery Box for April! And if you like this box, you’re bound to like boxes that will be sent out in the future. A subscription with Geek Fuel gives you a fun surprise on your doorstep every month, and you can gift it to yourself or a friend.
