We’ve got something really important to tell you today. We have reports that the “Fastest Smartphone Ever” will be coming out on 14th March. I know you’re thinking that it’s going to be the Galaxy S4, well, here’s the twist. It’s not the Galaxy S4. Instead it will be a new phone by XOLO launching on the exact same day in Goa, India. The new XOLO phone will be powered by Intel’s mobile processor, that’s reportedly the fastest ever, although, we’re pretty sure that the whole attention of the Android world will be on the Samsung’s event in New York City.

Samsung is going to announce the next iteration of the Galaxy S line up, a device that will be the flagship device for Samsung and the Android world as well. Samsung is determined to sell 100 million units of the Galaxy S4, while its predecessor, Galaxy S3 has managed to sell over 40 million units across the globe. XOLO is probably looking to steal a little attention for their new phone and with a tag line like that, it might get a little bit of attention, too, but it won’t be able to steal the spotlight. XOLO has sent out media invites to announce the new Intel powered smartphone that it’s calling “Fastest smartphone ever”, we highly doubt that though. The company hasn’t specified what it will be launching but their official site shows a countdown to something called the Mission X. Anything with an X is bound to be important, right? Wait, the company has more for us it also states that “speed barrier is all set to be shattered. Fasten your seat-belts and get ready for Mission X. 4 days to take off.” – that got your attention, didn’t it?

It looks like that the new device will be powered by the latest and speedy Intel Clover Trail+ processor, that was shown of last month at MWC 2013 in Barcelona. There are no words on any other specs of the device and we’ll know more when it comes out. What we know so far is that XOLO has taken up the daunting task of going against Samsung’s Galaxy S4 event, why wouldn’t it? With the fastest smart phone ever, even I would be going against them, too. XOLO is based in India and we have no idea if the “fastest smartphone ever” will be coming to other regions out of India as well. While Samsung on the other hand will be rolling out the Galaxy S4 in hundreds of markets across the globe.

According to the reports, the Galaxy S4 will be powered by a lightning fast Octa-core processor sporting a full HD 1080p display. You can read the full specs for the Galaxy S4 here. Samsung is also rumored to add some new features like eye-tracking to the device as well. With specifications like that we are not sure if the XOLO phone will be able to generate any buzz. What are your thoughts? Do you think the Mission X will be able to rival the Galaxy S4? Let us know.

  1. Why because the iPhone isn’t the fastest phone? Or because I called you an iDork?
