Brett Gelman Parts with Adult Swim over Misogyny

Brett gelman severs ties with adult swim

Comedian Brett Gelman recently severed ties with network Adult Swim. The network is known for comedies such as Rick and Morty, Doctor Steve Brulé, and Eagleheart which Gelman starred in. But now that is in the past.

Adult Swim currently has no plans of airing shows or working on creative projects that are created by women. That is not the only reason Gelman cut ties with the network. The actor stated “If unnamed sources want to complain, complain about me after I’ve read the script you asked me to read or tossed you out of my office for pitching something I didn’t like. If you did come to me I bet I offered some decent suggestions on how to accomplish whatever you wanted to do. I do sometimes yell and I’m not proud of it.”

But the bigger issue here is that Gelman left because of how Adult Swim treats women. The network does not take their creative input and even puts them at harm. The network airs the program Million Dollar Extreme, the same name of an alt-right fan base. Not only has Gelman called the network out on this on social media site Twitter, he’s documented all of his reasons for leaving the network on Twitter.

Adult Swim has proven to be no different than most of the television world, one where women and other minorities don’t seem to matter.
