Does Branding a Business on Facebook Really have an Impact?
With over 900 million users, the social media giant Facebook makes you feel lonely if you haven’t signed up yet for an account. It seems your no one until you create that profile, upload some images and start stalking the ex’s. Facebook started a revolution when it comes to social media, and has made its alleged creator, Mark Zuckerberg a few bucks.
Besides its personal usage, Facebook has also become a major hub in the business sector. Small businesses and of course large companies, promote and brand themselves through a variety of fan pages or simple business pages. When it comes to getting attention or profits from Facebook, most of us don’t see dollar signs, we see a ‘thumbs-up’ instead. The bottom line to make any sort of revenue by promotions depends on the number of ‘Likes’ we receive.
But, the real question remains – does it work?
Facebook Success
There are plenty of stories floating around out there about how branding through Facebook saved plenty of businesses. Of course we are used to hearing about the big guys, like Oreo, BMW and every major clothing line imaginable. But, can it really work for the little guys?
Take Ana White Carpenter for example; an Alaskan mom whose love for carpentry brought her millions in revenue. White could never imagine that her love for woodworking and building furniture could bring her in thousands of fans, and millions of visits to her website. Although her blog alone garnered her some impressive success, the addition to Facebook added fuel to the fire.
The fact of the matter is if you want to successfully brand your small business on Facebook, you will need to use every tool, app, and resource at your disposal. Just like Google offers you every tool imaginable to increase conversions with your advertising campaign, so does Facebook with their own promotional tools. Basically in order to really push your product or service, you need a driven attitude and passion about what your selling.
