Conspiracies: Keeping Us on Our Toes for Generations
We made it! The Maya with their infernal calendar, surrounded in myth and legend but above all else falsehoods made up by crazies across the World Wide Web. But, in a sense it’s far from over, more news pops up every day about specific “calculations” we might have missed. The conspiracies continue and it’s starting back up again, and for some buying back into it will no doubt be a pleasure.

There is still plenty to worry about
What exactly is a “conspiracy theory”?
Basically, a conspiracy theory encompasses entire events that have either been covered up, in an evil plot by world governments; or events that have actually occurred, but the details and real truth have been covered up about that certain event. Makes sense right?
Conspiracies have been around for over a century. Believe me when I tell you there are in fact several conspiracies, and far too many to put into one post. However, compiling a list of the top 10 wasn’t too difficult considering some are more popular than others. The 10 listed here, combined, have millions of believers. There are a few that personally make me wonder as well.
Easy Questions, Hard Answers
When convention and science offer us no answers, might we not finally turn to the fantastic as a plausibility? – Agent Fox Mulder
Conspiracies sometimes present us with a catch-22 of sorts. There are conspiracies that seem so outlandish and just plain nuts, to a few that can really get you thinking. But, at the end of the day, these theorists claim a direct assault is taking place on their reputations from mainstream media, and the Government. In a sense most will claim a conspiracy within a conspiracy – its enough to make your head spin in every direction.
So, you decide – are most of these fear mongering at its best? Or, are there a few here we should be worried about?

One last thought:
Keep in mind while reading this list that past events, such as the rise of Nazi Germany have involved government conspiracies. World history teaches us that certain events were in fact created to fool the masses. So in a sense, it’s not too difficult to understand particular points of views when discussing conspiracy theories.
Let me know in the comments below what you think. Try to keep an open mind, and enjoy!
