The Top 5 Upcoming Superhero Movies of 2013

This year’s superhero movies are going to be some of the best ever! Or at least that’s what Hollywood wants us to believe. So let’s get ready with those 3D glasses and fatten up your wallet, as we’re about to take a closer look at 2013’s best upcoming comic hero movies.

Since no one movie here is necessarily better than another, and I’m pretty sure they’re all being awaited with equally baited breath, I’ll kick off this list from least, to most anticipated Superhero movie of the year. In order to be fair of course.

1. Adam Strange (2013-2014)

First up we have Adam Strange, for those of you who don’t know who Mr. Strange is, he’s a super hero from the DC universe (same people who created Superman, Green Lantern and The God Damn Batman!), who gets beamed to an alien planet named Rann, where he falls in love with a hot alien babe (she’s a princess to boot!) and defends the planet against otherworldly threats. Oh, and he also get’s evicted back to earth every 4 years, and then shifts back to planet Rann every 4 years, all over again. The movie is being produced by Leonardo Decaprio, and is expected to debut somewhere in late 2013 or early 2014.

2. Iron Man 3 (3rd May, 2013)

Regardless of how terrible or wonderfully directed, plotted and acted this movie is going to be, it’ll be a massive earner at the box office. But so far, the movie seems to be very well set up, as Tony Stark gets ready to take on the Mandarin, an amazingly smart terrorist who has destroyed our hero’s home (for the umpteenth time it seems, I wonder how high Tony’s insurance rates are?), his company, his girl and his morale. Luckily for him, he still has his brand new Iron Man suit left.

3. Thor: The Dark World (November 8th, 2013)

500200940dea4 Thor’s back! And this time his going to kick some Dark Elves’ butt, with the aid of his  godly hammer and Natalie Portman’s sexy looks. The villain this time around is Malekith, and the story is a direct continuation of the events that occurred in The Avengers.

4. The Wolverine (26th July, 2013)

After the debacle that was X-Men Origins: Wolverine, we’re keeping our fingers crossed that this movie turns out to be as awesome as its script is. The story is set after the events of X-Men 3, and trails the most bad ass mutant ever, as he travels and trains in modern day Japan.

And our most anticipated Movie of 2013 is…

5. Man of Steel (24th June, 2013)

1
This movie combines the unique vision and talent of director Zack Snyder (300, Watchmen, Sucker Punch) and the awesome imagination of David S. Goyer (Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises) to bring a completely rebooted version of the world’s most powerful and beloved superhero; Superman!

It is indeed. But I was mandated to keep this article inside the DC/Marvel world. Otherwise Sin City 2, Kick Ass 2 and various other movies would also be here.

Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World are the only ones I'm interested in
