Mean While in Japan…

iPhone Cracker Case JapanLeave it to the Japanese to come up with something as crazy, but also surprisingly, unique as an edible iPhone 5 case.

Japan has always had a talent for captivating us across the pond. We know them for their impressive gadgets, and know them more for their crazy inventive gadgets. But, regardless of all the craziness, Japan knows how to get our attention.

Check out the Survival Senbei iPhone 5 Case – this little tidbit takes the cake on crazy. This is a case for your iPhone 5 that also doubles as a snack. It certainly won’t protect your smartphone for very long…probably less than that.

iPhone 5 Case Ingredient’s:

The Survival Senbi case is made from Japanese rice crackers, which are known as senbei – this is a very popular snack throughout the country. From what we gathered through other reports, the case was invented by a middle-aged Japanese woman called Mariko. Mariko has a unique talent for molding crackers into an iPhone shape.

One big issue with this crazy invention is the case works horribly and won’t protect anything. All you can expect from this very expensive cracker-case is tastiness…and perhaps a bit more carb energy to get you through a day. So, for $47 you can purchase the cracker-case that will more than likely break when you try to put it on your phone, and if you happen to successfully place your phone in the cracker-case, it will more than likely break when you attempt to increase volume.

At the end of the day, the survival senbei iPhone 5 case is a snack you can store your phone in – that is all. But, if you like many, who will no doubt, purchase this just for the sake of purchasing this – you’re going to have to wait. There is currently a long waiting list because poor old Mariko can only produce about three of these hand-crafted cases per day.
