Now on its fifth run, this Take Two Interactive Software title was launched in September 2013 and has remained very strong throughout 2014. Minecraft

Minecraft is an independently developed game that was first released back in 2009. It was incomplete back then and has been constantly tweaked since its launch. It was originally only available for the PC but in May 2012 it was released for the Xbox 360 and has been selling steadily ever since. It is also now available on the PlayStation and on mobile app stores. This is one of the best looking games with amazing graphics. There were a couple of bugs and glitches when it was released but these have been eradicated and EA Games has created a title that has remained in the sales charts now that the problems have been resolved.

The Lego Movie Videogame

If you’ve seen the movie then you know the addictive “everything is awesome” tune that accompanies it and has made it into the videogame. The movie itself made $254 million at the box office and the game adaptation is a massive hit with fans young and old. The cast of characters includes Batman, Abraham Lincoln, Shakespeare and a character called “where are my pants” Guy. The game is fun and addictive and it features very highly in the sales charts.

NBA 2K14

According to Take-Two, this 2014 instalment of the ever popular NBA games is the strongest selling in their history. There is no competition for this title and it has outsold both Madden and Fifa to remain near the top of the charts selling over 6.5 million units.

Call of Duty: Ghosts

Call of Duty by Activision’s Juggernaut franchise has been coming in at the top of the charts for the past five years and this new title is no different. In Call of Duty: Ghosts, players will find the addition of a playable German shepherd called Riley to the squad very exciting. Titanfall

Titanfall is a game that was designed by the creators of Call of Duty and has been a huge success for EA and Microsoft.
